The Kichwa Native People of Sarayaku are located in the Amazon of Ecuador (Pastaza province), in the middle course of the Bobonaza River basin. It is made up of 7 community centers in a territory of approximately 135 thousand hectares. 95 % of the Sarayaku territory is primary forest, with high biodiversity<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

According to the Sarayaku worldview, the ecosystem of their territory is made up of three essential ecological units:\u00a0Sacha (Jungle), Yaku (rivers) and Allpa (land), which<\/strong>\u00a0They support an infinite number of faunal and floristic species that are important for their existence.<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

In the Village of Sarayaku, also known as Pueblo del Medio D\u00eda, we self-identify as an indigenous Kichwa people. Made up of approximately 1,500 inhabitants, we are organized into seven community centers: Kali Kali, Sarayakillu, Chunayaku, Shiwakucha, Puma, Kushillu Urku and Mawka Llakta<\/strong><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
