Mirian Cisneros, President of the Original Kichwa People of Sarayaku, participates in the permanent forum of indigenous peoples \u2013 UN.<\/p>\n

I come with the strength of my ancestors and with the wisdom of our jungle mother to ask.<\/p>\n

1. That the permanent forum recommend respect and compliance with the sentence of the Sarayaku case of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, that the government of Ecuador is violating the numerals such as:\u00a0
\n\u2022 The non-repetition of oil companies in the Sarayaku territory.
\n\u2022 The removal of pentolites from the Sarayaku territory and that the Peoples be consulted.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. That the Permanent Forum recommend to the Ecuadorian State that it recognize the legality of the DECLARATION of\u00a0#<\/span>KAWSAK<\/span><\/span><\/a>\u00a0SACHA \u2013 LIVING SELVA as a new conservation category, a plan that respects the rights of indigenous peoples.<\/p>\n

For us, the mining, oil and logging companies mean the death and disappearance of our peoples, that is why I ask for peace for humanity and protection of our #Kawsak Sacha.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
