LETTER OF SOLIDARITY WITH THE SHUAR NANKINTS BROTHERS OF MORONA SANTIAGO IN FRONT OF THE INCURSION OF THE ARMED FORCES INTO THE TERRITORY OF THE SHUAR PEOPLE.

The Original Kichwa People of Sarayaku- Tayajasaruta, located in the middle basin of the Bobonaza River in the southern central Amazon region of the Pastaza province, stand in solidarity with the Shuar Warints brothers and the Shuar people of Morona Santiago, in the face of the incursion of the armed forces into of the Shuar territory that systematically violate the right to life and freedom of the original peoples.

We call for unity to all communities Peoples, Nationalities in resistance and citizenship in general to defend our collective and human rights enshrined in the constitution and international treaties: Outraged at acts of abuse of rights after decades has been constituting a threat to the life and freedom of the original peoples, in a modern, plurinational and pluricultural state, we express the following:

We denounce to the National Government the use of public force to repress and violate the rights of the Shuar people and the Warints community of Morona Santiago.

We hold the national government responsible for any act of violation that can cause serious consequences to the life and physical and psychological integrity of our Shuar brothers.

Our categorical rejection of the presence of the armed forces in the territories of the Shuar Original Peoples that violate human and collective rights and international humanitarian law.

We will be willing to join the fight and we will keep on high alert any mobilization that is necessary to defend our territorial sovereignty and dignity.
