Pachamama Uyanza
In the Original Kichwa Village of Sarayaku ''noon town'' Pachamama Uyanza is celebrated in the month of May of each year, in gratitude for the kindness that the earth offers us, the Kawsak Sacha-Living Jungle and the protective beings who keep harmony of the life of the Original Peoples Amazonian rivers such as the Corn River- Sarayaku. Likewise, on this day commemorates May 11, 1992 where the peoples and Nationalities carried out the first indigenous uprising in a great historical march called "ALLPAMANDA, KAWSAYMANDA JATARISUHUN "whose thought originated in the People of Sarayaku. It is on this date that the ancestral collective territories of the original Peoples and nationalities were recognized legally by the state Ecuadorian.
The celebration in honor of Pachamama is also a space where consolidate unity, brotherhood, solidarity, harmony and peace between peoples and nationalities.
The PACHAMA UYANZA will take place this 2013, on May 17, 18 and 19. According to the schedule, different sports events and traditional games will be held. The positioning act of the new Government Council of Tayjasaruta, who will lead under the principles of Sumak Allpa, Sachara Runa Yachay and Sarayaku Runa Kawsay for a consecutive year in accordance with the reform of the statute of the Original Kichwa People of Sarayaku.
