SUMAK MIRACHIK SARAYAKU WANKURISHKA “SUMISAWA”

The cooperative SUMISAWA was created in order to strengthen agricultural production, fish farming, animal husbandry and Amazonian wild species, boosting existing initiatives and implementing new alternatives for the production, care and processing of products from the area. This productive program aims to promote the sovereignty and food security of the ayllukuna of sarayaku, encourage local fair trade and mitigate the impacts of hunting and fishing on the fauna and ichthyofauna of the Sarayaku territory for the conservation of biodiversity for the benefit of present and future generations.
