The Native Peoples of the Bobonaza River Basin; Pakayaku, Sarayaku, Boberas and the communities of Teresa Mama, Chuba Kucha, Ishpingu gathered at the FIRST CONGRESS AND CULTURAL MEETING FOR THE UNITY OF THE KICHWA PEOPLES OF THE BOBONAZA BASIN KAWSAYMANTA TANTARI (MEETING FOR LIFE), held in the Original People Kichwa of Pakayaku, on October 1 and 2, 2011, declare the following:
1. The Kichwa Original Peoples of the Bobonaza River Basin, Pakayaku, Sarayaku, Boberas and the communities of Teresa Mama, Chuba Kucha and Ishpinku maintain unity, brotherhood, mutual solidarity, which will strengthen the process of building the Government of the District Kichwa territory of the Bobonaza basin and harmonious coexistence between peoples.
2. We commit ourselves to lead a peaceful and sovereign struggle against the threats of exploration and exploitation of renewable and non-renewable resources in our territory and we are determined to defend, even with our lives, Mother Earth, which is our only living space for the present and future generation.
3. We commit ourselves to develop our own productive economic initiatives according to the execution of our life plans that are framed in the national development plan and the millennium objective, which is environmentally sustainable, socially just, economically supportive and spiritually respectful.
4. The territorial space of the Peoples of the Bobonaza Basin is positioned as a zone free of oil, mining and logging exploitation, of environmental services and biopiracy, and the Border of Life, Kawsak Sacha (Living Jungle) is declared.
5. We consider the Kawsak Sacha as the jungle of beings. A transcendental territorial space destined to elevate the emotional, psychological, physical and spiritual aspects vital for the energy and health of the native peoples. It is also a zone of transmission of Yachay knowledge (science-wisdom) where the Yachak and elders, upon coming into contact with the world of the masters and lords of living places, penetrate the world of wisdom and the sublime worldview to methodical learning. They are areas where the wise interrelate with the Protector Beings so that the animals do not move away and the natural balance is maintained.
6. The new Government Council of the Kichwa Territorial District of the Bobonaza Basin commits to follow up on the promulgation of a law of a new category (Living Jungle) for the preservation of the territorial spaces of the Original Peoples of the Basin. of the Bobonaza River.
7. Consolidate national and international alliances between all nationalities and peoples to defend the territory, democracy, life, human rights, justice and harmony with nature.
8. The new Government Council of the Kichwa Territorial Circumscription of the Bobonaza Basin appointed at its first congress in the Kichwa town of Pakayaku, on October 2, 2011, will carry out the process of legal legalization as established by the COOTAD law and the constitution. politics and international treaties in favor of indigenous peoples.
