Official delegates of protocol visit in France and Belgium

José Gualinga, Tayak Apu (President) of the Original Kichwa People of Sarayaku and Hernán Malaver, member of the legal team of the Sarayaku Government Council (TAYJASARUTA) have been invited to give conferences and chair diplomatic meetings in France and Belgium, respectively. During their stay they will socialize the Sumak Kawsay Plan and Vision (Life in harmony), Declaration of Kawsak Sacha – Living Forest, the international litigation process of the Judgment of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, the ruling of the Court and the progress made by the State in complying with the resolutions of the Inter-American Court.

A transcendental axis of its official presence regarding the Declaration of the Kawsak Sacha – Living Forest, Sacred Territory, Biodiversity and Cultural Heritage of the Peoples and Nationalities in Ecuador is to show elements of debate for the understanding and legitimacy of it as a new category for the preservation of the territorial spaces of the original peoples, thereby guaranteeing the continuity of life and the conservation of the ecosystem. One of the most emblematic projects and one that has been running for more than eight years is the Sisa Ñampi (Road of flowers).

To deepen relations of global solidarity, according to their agenda, the representatives will share with European citizens the process of resistance and peaceful struggle for the life of the Amazonian peoples and the preservation of the Amazonian territories led by Sarayaku for more than 30 years. . The conferences and meetings will take place until October 1 of this year.
